CURRENT SELECTION: Try Coriole’s smooth, chocolatey McLaren Vale Shiraz, from South Australia. Or Laibach’s mature, delicious Organic Bordeaux Blend from South Africa. From France, we have the Chateau Gravieres mellow red Bordeaux, and for something a little lighter, the Andre Colonge fruity Beaujolais Villages. Compare this with Ca Rugate’s food-friendly Valpolicella, also fruity and not too heavy. And finally, for something different, the peppery, black-fruited Sankt Laurent from Fischer in Austria. It’s a wonderful red that matches grilled foods brilliantly, and will show well in winter and summer alike.
