CURRENT SELECTION: Try a ripe, juicy Fleurie from Domaine Chignard; this is midweight but full of flavour and perfect for a variety of foods over the summer. Also from France, Chateau Reynier’s Bordeaux Rouge, which is not too heavy, with lovely red and black fruit character. Moving further afield, there’s the smooth, mellow Rioja from Cune, and a flavourful Tuscan red by Santa Cristina, of Antinori fame. To the new world for Altosur’s well-balanced, fresh Malbec from the mountains, and finally Yabby Lake’s perfumed, delicious Shiraz from Heathcote, in Victoria.
