CURRENT SELECTION: For these Spring months, we have a crisp, citrusy Vermentino from Tuscany, made by the Moris family. From France’s Loire Valley, JF Baron’s Muscadet Sevre et Maine has classic apple, lemon and mineral aromas and a refreshing saline note; it’s a great seafood wine, or pair it with Spring salads and cheeses. From South Africa, Blank Bottle’s Empire Strikes Back is textured, aromatic, and totally unique, an offbeat but fine white that is totally delicious. Portugal’s Esporão brings us Monte Velho Branco from the Alentejo region, a vibrant, easy-drinking blend with floral hints and a herby, juicy palate. From Burgundy, Joseph Drouhin’s Aligote is brisk and appley, a very food-friendly white Burgundy. While Terres Secretes’ Macon-Villages Preludes rounds things off with a smooth, unoaked Chardonnay full of freshness and charm.
