Description

A beautifully fresh and floral, unoaked wine from Famille Perrin, in the Southern Rhone. Made from a blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier this has great depth and is a perfect match with Mediterranean accompaniments.

TASTING NOTE: A lovely soft yellow colour in the glass. On the nose: Fruity aromas such as peach, honeysuckle, apple and candied orange peel with a hint of butteriness. There is some pear and apple fruit from the Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes, with a tiny hint of caramelized apple, ginger, and lemon. On the palate: Medium in body, with fresh but not high acidity, and a dry, fruity finish, and extremely well-balanced. 13% alcohol by volume.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This white Rhone blend has plenty of texture and fruit flavours and will pair wonderfully with grilled or pan-fried spiced Halibut, baked Brie in Philo pastry with a stone fruit chutney or even a simple bouillabaisse. This will also match wonderfully with Mediterranean foods like chicken Souvlaki and for a vegetarian match, a Spanakopita (a delicious Greek spinach pie). It’s drinking very well now and will easily keep till Winter 2024.
