Description
Chateau Lagrange is a well-regarded wine estate based in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Haut-Medoc region, to the north of Bordeaux city, on the left bank. The estate was classified as a third growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves.
A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot grapes. It’s dark red in the glass with a violet hue. The nose is aromatic with plenty of elegant dark berries, discreet sweet spices, and very fine toasted aromas from time in French oak barrels. The palate is full bodied and mellow with plenty of ripe tannins and a velvety character from the Merlot, with a long and fruity finish carried by the bold Cabernet Sauvignon.
A powerful and well-structured wine that can be enjoyed now till 2028. 13.5% abv.
