Description
This is a great starting point for California Pinot Noir, from La Crema this is a juicy, fruity, sunshine-filled red from the famous Sonoma Coast, a great food pairing wine or to simply enjoy outside with a slight chill on it.
TASTING NOTE: Attractive medium ruby colour. On the nose: Very fruity, with plenty of raspberry and strawberry aromas and flavour, like a summer fruit pudding or compote! Plus some herbs and earthiness too. On the palate: Supple and smooth-textured, with gentle tannins and medium acidity to ensure freshness. There is a hint of spice from ageing in oak barrels too. 13.5% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Try this wine with bacon-wrapped dates filled with goat cheese or for dessert, a light airy chocolate mousse. You could also chill the wine as the tannins are low, meaning a refreshing drink if the outside temperature is warm. Enjoy now until winter 2024, no need to decant as it’s very fruity!
